I went to Limerock Park for the July ALMS race. Holy crap the new change to the pedestrian overpass is sweet!!! Both sides have been opened up for more spectator access. This is one of the closest areas to the track. I also learned that day I love the sound of Corvette C6R!!! I shot a bunch that day. The jpegs and raws are sitting on the HD waiting for processing.
I spent the next weekend in NYC. Friday night, I went to my first stand up show where a friend from way back in second grade was performing. She was AWESOME!!! The other comics were great too.
Saturday and Sunday were spent at the Last HOPE of course!!! The talks I saw were great. Blew way too much money but hey some have anime conventions, I have tech conventions. Came home with some great books and one more thing... A HAM RADIO LICENSE!!!
For the three HOPEs I've been to, there's always been a special event station and a license session. I've tried for a license in the past, but never got the hang of it. Now with no code and 12 hours to cram, I went for it at the Last HOPE. I got my call letters on July 29th.
Thanks to my poor understanding of an Ebay special, I sprung for a HP mini-laptop 2133. The new machine, dubbed WALL-E (you saw that coming), joins my desktop replacement, HP Pavillion 9700, and the old standby Apple Powerbook G3 Pismo. Wall-E will probably drafted for travel and geek work.
So how have you been?

lol, I will say, it's one of my favourites because how random and stupid it is.
